Happy holidays everyone!!! In this holiday break I want to take advantage of the special holiday offers/promotions out there in trying to help out my kid in math in school, I could use these days to sit down with her and turn around her grades. So I am looking for resources online or anywhere that I can find to see if they can help my "Em" during this school break, so far we have used things such as Khan Academy, and I signed her up to a site called StudyPug a couple of months ago because since the logo is an animal (a pug), she was all excited about it, and it has been okay but I would love to have something that is for smaller children (the topics over there tend to be too advanced). Other parents online have talked to me about something called Kumon, but I couldn't find anything near here (we are in a very small town) What has helped your kid? Sorry for long thread and please share any experience/trick/tip that it helped you. Thanks!

Happy Holidays! My brother and I have done the Prodigy math game, www.prodigygame.com/main-en/It goes up to 8th grade but I think it starts pretty low too. You have to answer math problems to fight monsters and do quests. When I was younger I just did it for fun in addition to my Khanacademy math. Free, but you can pay to get extra stuff. Teaching Textbooks is also good. It's similar to Khanacademy as serious learning with courses and grades, but I feel it explains things easier, and asks questions during lectures so you pay attention. Not free though. I am homeschooled, so I have used a lot of random learning resources

I never thought it that way... that homeschooled families might have a much more experience using all kinds of learning resources. Thanks, I'll check out Prodigy. Happy holidays!!!!!!!!!!!!
