Beleive me, I didn't just go to a pet store a point to him and say " I want THAT one!!!" I got Kyo in a more complicated way..... (heh, flashback!)
It was March. The day started normaly..... Well normal for me. (This is during school) But when it was time for lunch my friend came up to me looking practicly PANICED!!!!!!
"What happened?!" I say (Because I am such an AWSOME friend (haha kidding, I'm not that arrogant!))
I don't remember exactly what she said but it was like: "*My name* I brought this gerbil to school because my parents wouldn't let me keep it and I'm trying to find someone to keep him but I kept him in my locker and people heard him and banged on the locker saying "it's dead it's dead!!!!!" He was so scared!(some people are so HEARTLESS!!! Honestly I wanted to kill those people!!) and I got the principle And he took Kyo in a cardboard box in his office And he's staying there until we get someone to keep it! Help me buy a cage!"
We are so lucky to have a petlands discount RIGHT near my school! But the only cage big enough was one we couldn't afford! So we went on this big search to find people to give us a little money (also asking if they wanted a gerbil) We finnally found someone and bought the cage. It was accually about 1/3 of a regular size cage(I'm gonna turn it into a sandbox for my gerbils!) Any way We put Kyo in the cage with food and water in the priciples office and waited until school was over (we're in different classes). When it was over we rounded up all the realiable people and asked them if they could keep Kyo (In my head I wanted Kyo so badly that I didn't want anyone to say yes! HE IS SO CUTE AFTER ALL!!!!!!!) I called my mom. She was at a loud airport so she couldn't hear very well (which I guess was good.) She said yes!!!! Well as long as nobody else could take him. and they couldn't. And it was temprary. But parents are flexable when their eyes hit a gerbil as CUTE as Kyo! I was so happy! But my friend was really sad. She really loved Kyo alot!!!!! She held him for awhile and warned me to be SUPER careful! Other people came and saw Kyo. He let people pick him up and he didn't bite. He's a little sweetie! The priciple made me put my sweater around the cage (Cold gerbil or cold me? ALWAYS PICK COLD ME!!!!!!!!) I held his cage tight on the train ride home. A few days later we went to the pet store to get a big cage and a friend for Kyo (Cartmen!!!! ;D) Kyo was mostly mine so Cartmen was going to be mostly my sisters. And my parents never brought up the temprary thing again! Even they couldn't help but LOVE Kyo!
And I've had them since!
