Escapee and Lost, Bad Gussie and Yuki!

Gus one of our Gerbils was running around the kitchen having fun. Me and my dad were keeping watch over him closely. He was running around for a good 10-15 mins and then was exploring the cabinets... Something I wasn't aware of is that at the way bottom of them theres a slight opening and if you haven't seen our kitchen the cabinet and counter and sink are all connected. Gus unfortunately ran into it, its like a secret cabinet underworld. So we where all panicking cause first was can't see him and the area is huge underneath there. I felt his body when I was putting my hand under but he was going crazy under there. Then my sister went on the other side and she saw him come out the opposite side and screamed GUS and he ran back in. The I went over there and I was looking were he had come out. While I was doing that my Dad had said he was right behind me and ran back in. The after 2-5 mins he comes out and I cup my hands and scoop him up. Gah! he was all dust and dirty around his nose ;-;. Bad Gus.

Then about 3 days previos Yuki had escaped out of the tank. Apperently he can scale the bottle and squeeze outa the tiny opening, I mean really tiny opening. I was on the computer in the Family room when I think i see out of the corner of my eye my sister's srawing ruler reflect the light. What I didn't manage to think about is 1. Its dark out, and 2. The light of the family room nor the ruler was moving. After about 5 mins of that I look and its Yuki running like a manaic up and down like he wanted me to get him. Geez I was like WOAH and scared! Since then I have gotten a bottle that was a hole that I can hang from the top. Nice and closed.

Lets see Gus has ran away/escaped = 2 times
Yuki = 2

if they ever get away and you cant find them place their food or favorite treat in a thick ring of flour, then follow the tracks to their hiding place!

hehe...mine are EASY to catch. Or Rheane and Kaole are. If they're out, I just sit on the floor and rustle the sunny seed bag and they come running over and climb in my lap (and in the bag if I'm not quick enough, lol). Mesieth sometimes comes as well but he's more interested in exploring than eating.
