I have no idea where to find a vet that isn't a general vet who thinks hampsters and girbils are THE SAME!!! Help! Brooklyn or Mannhatten please.

Well, I couldn't find one that dealt specifically with hamsters/gerbils, but I did find some on the rabbit club website, and they'd be a good place to call and see if they, or another clinic they know of could treat a gerbil. www.rabbitcare.org/vets.htmGood luck! I'll let you know if I hear of any pocket pet vets in NYC..

Would Bayside work? There is a vet clinic there (Bayside animal clinic) that is part of Central Veterinary Associates. There is an animal clinic of theirs right in town (Terrace Animal Clinic) They have, I think, 2-4 exotic specialists (rodents are classified as exotics) They know their stuff, and they really care about the animal and the owner (believe me., I know).

Anywhere in new york city would work I'd say. So where's that? Do you have an adress?

I don't know the address to the Bayside clinic, but here's the phone number: 1-718-224-4451. They're open every day, even Sunday. They have at least 1-2 small animal specialists, of this I'm sure. Good luck!
