Hi everyone, Thought I'd share a vet I am pleased with in Hoddesdon - Walton Lodge Vet Group. www.waltonlodgevets.com/I used the one in Brewery Road, Hoddesdon, but they also have branches in Broxbourne, Hertford, Stevenage and Enfield, with further ones on the way. Freddie was treated by the owner, Helen Lee, and she was great. I was also pleased to see the owner of all these surgeries still actually practising. They were quite pricey, but I feel happy to take my gerbs there again in the future. The staff were all excellent and friendly and I felt that they all had time for me. They made me a cup of tea when I got upset, and I just felt, well, like an individual. As for price, it cost about £14 for Freddie's teeth to be clipped, and for Rocky's initial appointment plus his ear operation was £135. An expensive week for me, but of course worth it. Ange xxxx

For anyone living or near St Albans, Heath Lodge Veterinary Hospital is very good. It is a small practice and I have been taking my animals there for many years.

Hi All,
Just wanted to add to my praise for Walton Lodge Vet's in Hoddesdon - they have now carried out 2 successful scent gland removals for me. Like I said before, they aren't the cheapest, but I do trust them. I dealt with the vet called Zoe and she carried out the op's - very good vet. I believe she works at several of their branches on different days.
I would however steer clear of Paws & Claws vet in Broxbourne/Nazing - the vet there, Amir, didn't have a clue. He was very caring and tried his best though - but just didn't have the foggiest idea about rodents.
