After weighing the pros and cons of introducing my 3 year male to pups (after bereavement) - there seems to be no certain way of ascertaining how he will react to the pups. The replies that I received have all been very helpful in my reaching the decision to maybe buy a very large tank and permanently split it...My thinking being that he will have company and live side by side without the obvious danger of fatal fights or attacks. How would I go about making a two storey tank so that there is adequate room to house the three of them happily? I donot have the space available for a tank that is too long - any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am in the UK,

Hey DP,
You could try to split tank them and then integrate them. I think that if you get 2 young pups 5-10 weeks old, you will do fine with introducing them!
As far as the additions, you could buy 2 tanks and connect them with tubing. You could add a cage on top. I think that if you were to do this, you would need to introduce them since if you don't, then you will have one living in one tank and the other 2 living in the cage.
They also have tanks that are deep but not wide. You could put levels in with wood or appropriate solid structure to make layers since you would need stability.
