It looks great. Thanks for giving us a picture of the bag. Unfortunately I have never seen it in this part of the US. Do yours like it?

I have a picture of mine eating grasshoppers!! It's under the Eggs thread. It is really cool . Amazing how they tear the head off first. I tried mealworms and I guess they have a bite because only my boys would eat them. My girls did not care for them but they love grasshoppers. I have never tried moths though. Must be a riot watching the gerbils jump up and try to catch them.

this is the perfect food for the gerbils they get everything in it. ;D Yours eat this food??. Our fussy lot won't touch it especially the cheesman gerbils.. its taken weeks of starvation to get them to eat reggie rat instead of gerrie gerbil .. (the reggie rats easier to get hold of ). Andrea

Birko,
The picture is already on the Forum. Go to food then find the thread "Eggs" and it's near the bottom of the thread!! I just started feeding them the hoppers last week!!

I have tried the gerbil & mouse muesli with mine and they don't care for it much. To be honest, I wouldn't say it's the best thing out there for them anyway. It's too much like hamster food with all those tiny sunflower seeds in it. I usually only get it when I'm getting low on their other food and can't make it into town, they definitely prefer Gerri Gerbil/Reggie Rat food (mixed).

I tell you mine are really picky!! The girls like fruits, the boys like veggies, the girls won't eat meal worms but they eat grasshoppers and the boys will eat anything that moves (insects). I even caught Bubba eating an ant that found it's way inside the house!!

I'm feeding Ecotrition right now. Hmmm...I should put up a picture, it's fairly new and I don't know if it's available everywhere yet. It was the only food we sell that has a complete nutritional breakdown on the back. It lists the usual fat and mousture levels, but also vitamins, minerals and amino acids! I would post up the ingredients if I had thrown the bag away... (I repack into a storage container so it stays fresher and bugs don't get in.) I also give millet as a treat, dried fruits and veggies, and oats.

My gerbils insanely enjoy oatmeal. Fruit and vegetables merit nothing more than a disgusted sniff from my gerbils... Do you just give them the dried oats or mix it with the water?

I will soon be making the switch to homemade ;D. It looks and smells really good and doesn't have all those gross preservatives. I added some raisins and my gang really love them!

I feed oats, too, just plain old-fashioned dry oats, no water. All my gerbils love 'em. RW

I am feeding them a combination of Ecotrition and Nutriphase Gold. Both have dried fruits and veggies and seemed to have a good variety. Ecotrition has no sunflower seeds, but some pumpkin seeds. It can be a pain pulling out sunflower seeds all the time. They had similar nutritional values and seem to like everything but the pellets. I also feed them carrots occasionally, as well as crickets. One of my gerbils who first got a taste of a cricket loved them, but now he won't eat 'em. I think he's turned vegetarian. The other two have a cricket buffet... Haven't tried the worms yet. I occasionally get roly polys, so I just throw 'em in the cage Do you guys keep the worms in a dish or something, or just drop them in? Oats sound like something new to try. Is it more of a treat or a part of their normal meal?
