Who is planning to attend this show?
We are fortunate that it's actually only about 2 1/2 hours away from where we live so you better BELIEVE that I'll be there! ;D

Did anyone go to the show? Tell me about it. It was SO much fun. **laughing** I went with my newborn, Micah, and we joked that he was the largest entry in the pup class. I also took the two girls I'd bought from Pokafiki kennel in August and my nutmeg beauty was voted People's Choice Female. A big beautiful Agouti booy named Morty took Best of Show and well-deserved. He was gorgeous. Katie (PFK) had arranged for some local news stations to cover the event which was pretty exciting to see. We also had some public visitors including a young man who enjoys several varieties of rodents, and a woman who had recently adopt a single female from petco and woke up to pinkies a week later. After the actual show we had pet classes include single toilet paper chewing, double's chew, shoulder sitting, hamtrack races, and snowflake creation. Oh my gosh - that was way more fun than it would seem....fold a piece of square paper into a little triangle and then throw it in the tank to let the gerbils chew a little bit. Pull it out, unfold and VIOLA! Some of them turned out beautifully intricate. Too much fun. Here's one of the news stories: www.newson6.com/Global/story.asp?S=9227910&nav=menu682_2_10Here's one of the AGS members websites with results and links to pictures: http://hhgerbilry. com/agsgerbilsho wmw2008.html I was also able to bring home two stunning males from fantastic breeding/show lines to pair with my females this coming year. In fact I have started the introduction between my Pied Agouti and the CP Agouti Male I picked up. Those details are in another thread. Anyway - Enjoy! It was a BLAST. If you can make an AGS show in the future I highly recommend it...we had members drive as far as Wisconsin to make the Oklahoma show. Next show is in Maryland in January. Angela <><
