The 2008 Virtual Show pages are online, and we are ready to start accepting entries! Please take a moment to carefully read over all of the rules and guidelines on the 2008 Virtual Show page: www.agsgerbils.org/virtual2008/After you've read over the rules, get out your camera and start capturing your gerbils' best traits. The judges will need one side view with a clear view of your gerbil (from nose to tuft) and one face view (so we can see those lovely whiskers). We will accept entries through August 15th, so you have a month to get just the right photos. Gerbils will be judged according to AGS Show Standards, so the Virtual Show is a great opportunity for all to learn more about what judges look for at a gerbil show. Best of luck to all gerbils who enter this year's Virtual Show!

Yeah - I still need to try to get a couple better side shots but otherwise I'll send what I have. I'm just glad I got my camera in time!

Some of my side-shots weren't so hot, and one of my entries had some pretty bad molting going on, but you never know what the competition will look like! For those of you who know my gerbils, I entered Forecast, Elara, Stratus, Dawn, Reggie, and Fara (though she's entered as Faramir, since that was her name before I figured out she wasn't a boy!).

I was meant to get some pics but i kept putting it off and teh dead line came round quicker than i expected and my gerbils are real active today for some reason so they wont stay still for any shots.

I've entered my two, but I'm rather nervous, I'm not to cool with the shots either. Mushroom came 4th last time, wonder if he'll do better this year.

I've just had a ook and it's irriataing, my gerbils look rubbish comapred to the other pictures, but that's because my mothers camera is rather bad. I don't think i stand a chance this year.

Oh yeah! Well he got second! I was surprised, this year I looked at all my stock wryly and thought, well, I can but try! I have a couple of really nice bulky soft boys but their partners have been tail barbering, worse luck. Shaggy is with his breeding partner (herself a stunning BEW--LCP Champagne) and she is nice to his tail. Cassiopeia (Mottled Black) could have done much better but she was highly pregnant at the time of the picture. I'm sure even a few days later (after the birth) she would have done much better. Oh well, perhaps next year. Now I'm going to go looking for all the rest of your winners and participants!

Congrats, everyone! My Reggie took first in the Pied class, and Stratus took Best Opposite Sex in the Other class. I'm so proud! ;D
