i'm not sure about gerbils, but my mice rats and hamsters enjoy the, so if they can have them i can't see why gerbils can't

Yes, gerbils too! I gave them to my Mongolian gerbils and now to my fat-tailed gerbils. Some like it, some not.

Yes it is, but not too much! It contains a lot of animal protein, which makes them fat! Too much is not healthy. Just give it as a treat. When you use a good complete gerbil food, they get already enough animal protein. For pregnant and nursing females the extra animal protein is good.

they are very tiny at the minute. do you know about weights and things? id like to keep a track on it if i can

If you have a mail scale that measures in ounces or grams, just put a bowl on top the the scale, then turn it on so the bowl is balanced out of the weight and then put thr gerbil in and there you go!

i do have scales that weigh in grams, i weigh my rodents weekly if they are four weeks old how much should they weigh? how much weight should they gain per week? how much should adult males weigh?
