I have Never given any of my gerbils any vitimin suppliment. They don't seem to need it. Just make sure that they have a balanced diet, like giveing some fruit/veg as well as their dry gerbil mix

Supplements are useful in 3 cases 1) a pregnant or nursing gerbil you are concerned about (but a balanced diet is much better) 2) a weak gerbil (runt or elderly) to give them a boost, especially if they are not eating well 3) a gerbil who's been sick and/or on antibiotics, in which case a course of probiotics may be useful. The ones I use also contain multivitamins. I recommend Vetark products www.noahs-cupboard.co.uk/index.aspThey are expensive but UK P&P is included in the price. Generally a balanced diet is much better than supplements though.

my gerbils have a small salt wheel that they'll nibble on every now and then. But, that's about it.
