stickies and signatures

What does it mean when a thread is "Stickied"??And only moderators can do that, right? Not regular members??

Also, on the signature, is that where people put the pictures that show up at the end of their posts?

A stickied thread is one that is always at the top of the first page, it usually contains important information or rules And yes, signatures are the places where pictures and/or words appear beneath your posts!
