Hello everyone! I was wondering if any of you know what that large, Octagon(or circle) glass enclosures most pet stores have to display ferrets and hamsters is called? It's suspended off the ground by a three or four wooden legs. They're usually octagon or circular. They are very large. Ususally used to hold a few ferrets or a large amount of hamsters, mice, ect. I wanted to purchase one for my gerbils when i get them. I know they'd love a large enclosure like that. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, could you tell me what they're called so I can search around on the internet and order one? I'm not having much luck finding one because I'm not sure what to call it. Or could you tell me a website you know that sells them? Thanks alot for taking the time to read this! ;D

After a quick glance over the internet I suspect these are custom builds, either from a custom aquarium builder or from a shop-fitters company. You might be able to oick one second hand if you can find someone dealing in second hand shopfittings, but otherwise I think you'd have to get one built or build it yourself. www.aquariummasters.co.uk/saltaquarium.about.com/cs/aquariumdiy/l/blcustomtank.htmwww.acicorp.us/index.phpheres soem sights to give you ideas do remember if your not puttign water in it you don't need the glass asthick and clear acrylic is a lighter (but not cheaper) option. A glass dealer would be able to cut the glass for you. Good luck

Doomgerbiluk has given you some good ideas. If I were you, I would go to the petstore and ask. Someones bound to know where they came from.

Thanks alot for those links, Doomgerbiluk! I may contact those aquarium masters and see if I can work something out. Thanks a bunch, ;D And I did just that today, Queenofthenile. I looked on the side of the cages and wrote down the manufacuture's name. The people who worked there didn't know where they were purchased. Figured they wouldn't. But I'm about to go try and find the company's website right now. Thanks alot for responding, guys. ;D -Squiggley

Hey, if you're still looking, go to www.cagesbydesign.com/They supply pet stores with their cage displays and stuff. When I own my own place, it would be super cool to have one of those for all my gerbils! ;D

since the aquarium doesn't need to hold water, ask someone like a glass cutting specialist, or a windshield repair shop to make it for you. It would be a lot cheaper.
