My place of choice is Stahl's Exotic Animal Veterinary Service- it's a small practice with very knowledgeable vets. I've never actually met Dr. Stahl himself, but the other vets they have are great too. They just moved their office and are now located here: 4105 Rust Rd Fairfax, VA 22030 703-281-3750 They really are wonderful at handling and treating my squirmy little buggers. They gave me some Revolution for Skye when she got a mite infestation and have seen a number of my other gerbils for various ailments. They anesthetized Corky once to look in her mouth to see if she had problems with her teeth because she wasn't eating, and when Ziggy started having respiratory problems, they took x-rays and determined he had heart failure and kept him for a few days to see if keeping him under oxygen and giving him medicine would help. HIGHLY recommended.
However, Stahl's is not open 24-7, so for emergencies, I go to Alexandria Animal Hospital: 2660 Duke Street Alexandria, Virginia 22314 United States (703)823-3601 They performed the surgery to amputate Jibbly's leg after she broke it on her exercise wheel and had an open fracture. They've also put several of my pets to sleep when they were very sick and obviously suffering. They're wonderful and explain things clearly when you might otherwise be too panicked to understand. Also recommended for emergency situations. They do hold regular office visits, but since it's a larger clinic, it's probably much more busy than Stahl's place.

Blue Ridge Vet Associates is a good 24-hr emergency/regular vet. It is in Purcellville.
