K this is getting stupid now. The gerbils don't seem to care. They all sleep together with the pups on top and underneath everyone.. it's so cute. But there is 11 of them in this stupid little container. The adults of course can go in and out.. When the mother is feeding them, she looks so uncomfortable..she can't spread out and lay on her side because of the other 3.. But she doesn't seem to care. She seems to put up with it and she enjoys the company. The pups are 2 weeks old now.. Starting to crawl around more. They run back and forth in that stupid thing. So what's going to happen as they keep getting bigger? Less room and more stupidity? lol. They're so crammed in that thing. But if I put them in the tank with a house or something. they're going to do the same exact thing.. But atleast the pups can leave the nest and walk around and they won't get STEPPED on as much.. Since the older sisters like to jump on them and step on them to get through the tubes.. It's just starting to look retarded now. I want to get rid of the tubes because I'm sick of washing the pissy things. But if they seem happy.. do ya think I should just leave them there? I just don't understand how this is going to work..they're not going to be able to get through those tubes untill they're like 5 weeks old.. Gonna be hard during weaning too unless the mother plans on bringing them food. It's kind of like a burrow though so maybe it would work..lol.

Gerbils like to crawl on each other! Here some of my fat-tailed gerbils: And about the removing of the tubes! That is your choise, but I can imagine that you won't like to clean those that often. And that you don't like the smell. Ik think I would have removed them if they were too much work and when they start to smell! But that is for me personally, some may keep them probably.

Yeah I know they like to sleep on top of eachother .. it's cute! But at least the adults can get out. Pups just opened their eyes yesterday too and they can't. They have like a 4 inch box that they're stuck in. My last litter was crawling all over the tank at this age. But they don't seem to care. Maybe it's just me. I think I'm going to give it another day and get rid of it.
