Surely you are mature enough to take a bit of criticism? Or maybe not! At some point or other a lot of us here have or will get criticised over something we say or do. That's the whole point of these forums. We are here to answer, comment, criticise etc. We are all entitled to give our own opinion and that's just what we are doing. We are not saying you are a horrible person, we're just saying that we don't agree with what you are doing. It's not meant to be taken so personally.
Everyone comes on these forums knowing that they will either be criticised or supported or whatever. That's why we come here. Some of us could be doing something something wrong and not realise it. We only find out by other peoples criticism, and most of us learn from it.
You really didn't have to tell us about the pinkies but for some reason you did. That is your right, just as it is our right to give our opinions on it. We are all gerbils lovers here so surely you could try to understand why we might find something like this upsetting? Especially when it's not necessary.
You clearly know more about sugar gliders than I do, and as you say, they do eat rodents in the wild when other food is scarce. The point is, that your gilders DO NOT live in the wild and so I would imagine they always have a fresh supply of food. Therefor, they don't need to be fed pinkies. There are other ways of giving them protien when they are pregnant or nursing. It is also said that you may give pregnant/nursing gerbils mealworms/waxworms. I don't give mine these, for 2 reasons. The first is that I'm terrified of all creepy crawlie type things. And the second is that dry cat biscuits will do just as good a job, so that's what they get.
I'm sorry to hear that you won't be coming back. I hope you will change your mind. You really can learn a lot from the people on these forums, and since you have gerbils that will not be fed to your gliders, it might be nice for you to learn how to give them the best life possible. Please don't snap my head off for saying that. I wasn't suggesting they have a bad life, just that it's nice to be able to tell people about them and get advice when you really need it etc.
