My son wants to buy a gerbil. We live in the UK and want to go on holiday to France, Belgium and The Netherlands. Is it allowed to take a gerbil with you to these countries and return afterwards in the UK?
Does the gerbil needs vacination and/or a certificate?
Thanks in advance.

oh, sorrry! understand you wrong!! I'm from Belgium. But I don't know if you can do that. It also would be a lot of stress for the animal. Can't you bring them to your family or maybe to a breeder. I don't think gerbils needs vaccination to go to those countries.

I would check with the laws of these countries. I think it would be best to wait until you return from these places to get your gerbil. And when you're ready, there are a lot of great gerbil breeders in the UK we can refer you to!
