Here's a pic of the last reamaining gerbil pup from the first female's litter. I hope this one survives. Cause it's such a interesting color. Will it turn out like dad? Or will it stay the color it is? Thanks Shorty

Looks to be either pied black or pied agouti.

If you flip the dad over, you can tell if his belly is cream or not. If not, then he's a pied Nutmeg. If it is, he's a pied Agouti. The pup looks like its a pied agouti, and to tell you the truth, he don't look so good. You might want to try giving him a supplement a couple of times a day with a dropper. You can use kitten replacement formula or I use undiluted canned soy baby formula. Or, you can try sneaking him in to foster with your new litter of 9 where there will be lots of milk but also lots of competition. The mom will probably make two nests of babies anyway, and take turns feeding them. I think that's what I'd do if he was mine. Looks like his momma is not making enough milk for him.

Actually the two female gerbils have made two nests all by themselves. There's four in one and Six in the other. The one with six in the nest is the Female that just gave birth to the 9. I will keep and eye on him what should I look for? for him to be doing better? I really don't understand why he dosen't look good? He looks fine to me. Are you sure it's not just the pic? Shorty

Well he looked a bit pale to me, but it could be the picture too. If he's with other pups and you see milk in their bellies they should do ok. Yeah, the two females together might be a concern but if both females are lactating (which appears to be the case) you might get away with it. I hope so.
