I don't know if there will be any gerbs to buy on the day But if not, there will be loads of chances to make contact with breeders who will be able to give you info about their current and upcoming litters, or maybe put one aside for you.

Do you have to be a member of the NGS to show a gerbil?

I believe so, yes. Although there hasn't been an update about the Bradford show info on the NGS website, to enter the one in Reading last Sept you did have to be a member, so I assume it would apply here also. Also you do have to submit your entries prior to the actual competition (normally a few days before) so if you want to take part then the sooner the better! You can contact the NGS secretary directly at jackie@gerbils.co.uk if you want to register or enter!

Is there a pet class at all, that you don't have to be a member to have a go in?

There is a pet class listed, but I don't know whether it will be open to non-NGS members. I will find out! EDIT: Yes, the pet section is open to everyone! If you wish to enter, please email your entry to Jackie Roswell at jackie@gerbils.co.uk. I'd suggest including your gerbil's name, age and colour, but do specify that it is an entry for the Pet Class! Entries for this close on 26th January. I don't know if there is an entry charge, but if so it will be very small (it's normally £1 or less per entry) and will be paid on the day.

What time will I have to bench?

The judging starts at 10:30, so I'd try to get them there and 'checked in' by about 10:00. The pet section seems to be quite far down on the list so you might have a little while to wait before they get to that class.
