I'm so excited! I already had two adult female gerbils and at work today someone brought in and left a bunch of baby gerbils that they didn't want. The other guy I was working with was the one that the person gave them too and he didn't ask anything about them. I don't think they are any older than 4 weeks though. I took three females pups and I want to know what all I should do to make sure they are being taken care of. I've never had little ones before =) If you guys have any info I should look into please let me know! I want to make sure they are all doing good and want to make sure they have a good home =) They are inside of a seperate 10 gallon aquarium with aspen bedding ... they have a small wheel to run in which they love, I let them take their bath in the bath powder, and they are being fed baby carrots and nutriphase gold for Gerbils, they of course also have a fresh supplie of water that they are learning to use already =) Please let me know of anything I need to do differently or anything I should be doing that I'm not.Thankies!

It might be a good idea to put in a bit of spray millet as the smaller, softer seeds are easy for them to eat. Also be careful not to put in large containers of water as they drown easily at this age. Lucky you!

Alright I'll try both ;D Thanks! Oh their water is in the little water bottle hanging on the glass. They are very cute when they try and use it ;D I've noticed they kind of smell ... I checked to see if they had wet tail and no signs of it so far ... Maybe it's just because the people that brought them in didn't take care of them. When I got them they were in a cage that was smaller than a five gallon and it contained five babies and four adults. Mean people! Thanks again for all your help!

Oh my goodness! I don't have any more advice, but I had to say that I nearly choked when I read about their previous "home." I am so glad that these sweetie pie gerbils found you, or you found them. They will be in much better hands now!

;D They are doing great ... they no longer smell since I have let them take their sand bath and clean out the tank every week which is how often I do the other gerbils as well. I'm so glad that I did adopted my little pups. They are lots of fun and I would have felt guilty not taking them in. Anywho ... They went on a road trip this weekend to my Mom's house and love it ... I think they were happier to be back home though because they had their wheel back. ;D Silly little gerbils. While we were away from home the babies finally learned how to use the water bottle. I was so excited! Thanks again for everyones help.
