if your parents won't help you or they won't know anything about breeding gerbils... if I were you, I should wait more...

It really depends how much your parents are involved. If your parents are going to support you 100% and help you care for and find good homes for the babies, then it *may* be an option. If your parents aren't willing to be deeply involved in this project, then I don't think it's a good idea. Even though you may be very mature for your age, I feel it is too much responsibility for you to take on yourself. I agree with Queenofthenile and Vampyresza! Do you already have gerbils? If so I would just start with a same sex pair, so two males or two females. It is best to learn as much as you can on gebils before you start breeding! That is good for everyone, young or old!

I do already have 2 male gerbils. My parents would be behind me about 90%. I think the actual having gerbils thing makes them a little egdy.
