Gerbils are little angels that are always there for us... we just need to be there for them too. :)

I have noticed that there isn't a real "live" gerbil society in UK... if there is I haven't heard of them and they do not make any shows... at least not in my area. So I thought of starting my own Great Britain Gerbil Appreciation Society. And every one belonging to us would get a certificate for a year ... if they are breeder they would get additional badge. I am thinking of choosing a group of real gerbil lovers who would like to set and run this appreciation group with me. Probable agreements with some animal magazines and stuff to send to our members What do you think... anyone interested?

Although I don't own any gerbils yet, I think this is a very good idea *X*

I'm in the USA, so obviously I'm not eligible, but I wanted to put out a piece of advice:
I wouldn't offer a badge just because you are a breeder. This might encourage some people to breed just to get a badge, which is not a good reason to breed gerbils. Better to give badges to those who adopt gerbils from shelters or whatnot. That is what should be encouraged.
Just my two cents.
