:-/Hi all again, I am concerned about Cookies, they both woke up earlier like 30mins ago and one of his eyes were shut I wasnt wrorried as they sometimes do this when the wkae up and 5 mins later it would be open, but it opened slightly but is still half shut. Info: No liquid and the eye is not runny and is free of discharge Still Eating Acting normal I held him and he was no different in behaviour. Checked His body and no injuries Checked Cream and he is fine Any ideas, if people need a pic I will have a go later but some of you know the kerfuffle last time with getting pics up I dont want to stress him out by taking him to the vets as i will have to walk over when it can be answered by you peoples ;D I just hope he is ok Is it a possibility it is an eye infection?? what can I do to treat it???

It could just be a bit of dust has irritated his eye, keep an eye on him overnight. He sounds fit and healthy so try not to worry

Very nice effect!! Yes be positive and don't worry, after his snooze he will probably be bright eyed. If he's not, their are members that will give you more advice.

It could be dust, It could be stress. Have you cleaned them recently? Or if not when did you, what bedding and how much you use? Asking as I used to use a bag of carefresh years ago, cleaning them every 4 days, and that seemed to cause the same symptoms. So I guess it was more due to stress. Have you played with them too much, not giving them time to relax? Anything unusual you have noticed in their behaviour at all?

Not very recently about a week and a half ago (usually done 2-3 weeks) I use Carefresh confetti and (lavender) woodshavings and have since I got them and nothing has happened before. I had a nice long tub time and agility practice with Cream yesterday but Cookies wasnt interested in the tub time so I left him be. No unusual behaviour, except not jumping out of the unit into my hands as often as I have been playing with Cream more recently as he is starting to become more confident. He is now awake and his eye is still the same..

Emmy keep a close eye on him and even make some notes on his behaviour and how much he is eating and drinking and anything else you notice. And then if you do need to take him to the vet you have all the info to hand over. I'm sure he will be fine, relax with him and give him a special treat to nibble on

Next time I would skip the lavender scented bedding and find something else, like aspen. I would give them a rest, don't do agility when they are not themselves, they need time for themselves too like us
