Hi. I'm going to be getting a 20 gallon I think for my gerbils instead of the 10 gallon they are in. Does anyone know the standard dimensions for a 20 gallon tank? My room is small so I am measuring everything to make sure it will fit. Thanks in advance.

20 (high) = (inches) 24 x 13 x 17 = (centimeters) 61.0 x 33.0 x 43.2
20 (long) = (inches) 30 x 13 x 13 = (centimeters) 76.2 x 33.0 x 33.0

Oh, wait. One more question. I have measured one of my 10 gallon tanks and it came out as: 20in (width) x 10in (depth) x 13in (height). = 2600in cubed x2 = 5200in cubedSo, is the 20 gallon like this? 30in (width) x 13in (depth) x 13in (height). = 5070in cubedSo, are (2) 10 gallons larger than (1) twenty gallon? Or are my measurments wrong? Thanks.

Are you measuring the outside dimensions? If you are then the extra volume will be glass not actual space. Hope this helps!
