hi everyone I have got this friend who does a lot of woodwork and he has agreed to make a gerbils a house each. Does anyone know any type of glue or wood that would be safe for him to use so it doesnt poison them. And is there anything else i need to tell him to ensure its safe? Thanx everyone pixytwinkle

I find good strong school type PVA glue works a treat. I got mine in John Lewis so it's a good quality one. It's soluble in water and non-toxic so the gerbils won't be hurt if they eat it.

Anything that isn't treated with any sort of chemical. All natural wood bought at the store should be good. If you get wood yourself from outside you should boil it then freeze it to make sure it's safe.

How about balsa wood? Is that stuff safe for the gerbies?
