Hi a few days ago i bought 2 gerbils (blackie and Angel) i putted them in a 1.20 meter aquarium. Now my question do gerbils like the tube lights? ( TL bulb light ). I dont know the right word in english srry. There 2 light bulbs above them i didnt put them on.

I would remove the lamps, as they generate besides light also heat! It can become to hot, especially in the summer. And the light might also be to bright.

I agree with Peter, gerbils don't need light like retiles do to stay warm and see. You can take the lights out.

My biggest concern would be the lights and the dust producded from shredded up paper products causing a fire!
I have a lamp outside the tanks, that I turn on at night when I'm "Gerbil Watching".

The TL bulb light u are talking about is the same as a "ccfl,"that means he do makes some light but he absolutely is not going to be hot. when u take touch it u will feel that he is only a little bit more hot then ure hand.
