Well I have bought a 55L plastic bin to make into a split cage for my 2 de-clanned gerbils. I've made a split cage before, but it was for in a tank, and can be taken out at a whim. I would like to know any secrets anyone may have in building a split cage in a plastic bin. Thanks

Maybe just buying a cheap, small wire cage and putting that in half the bin?
Depends on the bin. I use bins as a holding cage while tank cleaning and they're not even perfectly straight. The sides are kind of rounded and un even. If yours are straight, I would assume the same way you'd make a split screen in a tank.

Thanks. I've decided to not make it a split and just leave it the way it is.

If you're not splitting it, then what are you going to do with it?

It is now a home for one gerbil. She really likes it to I may be getting a couple tanks donated to me in the next week, so I can use my same split cage as I usually do when i get one of them and am ready to re-intro the two girls again.
