Hi, this is my first post so my apologies if it is in the wrong section. Before I post my questions I would just like to thank everyone that contributes to this board, I have had my gerbils almost a month now and the information on here has been a great help!
So to my question, I go away on holiday for two weeks on the second week of June and was wondering if anyone knew of any pet sitters or boarding centres for gerbils in the Midlands area of the UK. I would prefer to be able to keep them in their own tank and have them somewhere with human interaction.
I could at a push leave them with my sister, the only problem being that she isn't confident with small animals, she would be able to feed them and provide water but wouldn't be able to provide them with any interaction, having just got them tamed I don't really want them to forget what a hand feels like.
The other problem is is that they manage to jump out of their tank as soon as I open the door (I have the falco small pet cage), they only walk around the top of the cage but whilst I am confident enough to pick them up and put them back, she wouldn't be and I worry about an escape or an injury.
Any ideas?
