Hi all,
I know forums like these are all run by tireless volunteers, and I admire their dedication to providing such an awesome place for people to come from all over the globe to talk gerbils.
Understanding that people can only do so much outside their regular life, I was wondering roughly how long the membership approval process for this forum takes. I signed up six days ago, and I'd love a ballpark estimate for when someone will be able to approve my application.
Thank you for your time!
Cheryl.

It may be awhile- as you said the forum is run by people who have busy schedules I'm sure, so sometimes it takes a few weeks. Will look forward to seeing you around on the forum when you are approved.

I think I waited just over 20 days to be approved a couple of months ago be patient and you'll be a member soon enough in the mean while you can still post things in the guest thread and get replies

While I'm still patiently waiting for approval I thought I'd announce the arrival of my first litter!
My spotted Burmese male and Burmese female produced seven adorable pups. Mom and babies seem healthy and content. I'll check in again later tonight as I don't want to disturb the nest too often.
I'm hoping to get approved soon so I can post pics as the pups progress!
Cheers!

My litter is now four weeks old and running amok! They're all Burmese, and super cute! I'm looking forward to the second litter, which is due on the 6th.
I'm hoping to have my membership here approved soon - I'd really like to be able to post in the full forum, and I've been waiting since November 9th. Anyone have any idea on how soon it might happen?

Aw, they are so cute at that age, aren't they? My litter is three weeks old. And I'm afraid there really is no way to tell how long it will take for you to get approved, but hopefully it won't be too long.

Crittercrazy: how old are you if you got your first gerbil at 11? Why did you decide to breed gerbils and how did u convince your parents??

Sorry leafwhisper, didn't see your post until now. I'm fourteen. I wanted to breed gerbils for a couple of reasons. . . I wanted to raise healthy, tame gerbils being the primary one. And I wanted the experience of it- of taming the pups and taking care of them. Convincing my parents. . . well, they were confident I was responsible enough for it. They don't really like animals, but have been really kind in putting up with my craziness over the years. Anyway, I had two things I wanted in that aspect: to breed gerbils and to get a dog of my own. So it was kind of a compromise. . . I could breed the gerbils but no dog. Sorry it took me so long to reply.

Its ok. I was just wondering because your blog said you still had some of the gerbils you started out with! I also want a dog, but I am positive that my parents would not let me have so many gerbils just as a compromise.

Yeah, I still have my fourth and fifth gerbils I got, who came about a year and a half after my first gerbil. It was actually never the plan for me to have this many gerbils, I was planning to find new homes for more of the pups but I didn't like any of my options so just kept them.

HI Bacha,
Sorry for the delay. The owner of the site isn't on much but we do have some newer mod's it has generally been taking 1-2 weeks but it is not uncommon for it to be 3-4 weeks. The mod's are very busy with their regular lives and stuff. Sorry, but in the meantime please feel free to post anything here most of us regular members try to answer anything within a few hours.
Welcome and hope to see you as a member soon.
