Kate has started gaining a lot of weight in the last few months, increasing from 2.8 oz to 3.5 oz in just 2 months! Otherwise she seems to be pretty much her normal self, maybe a little less energetic. Both Kate and Caroline are getting older, about 2.5 yrs old this month (Nov 2014). Might this just be age-related, or could it indicate some kind of health issue? It seems rather a lot of gain in a short time for just age. Here is a history of their weights: Aug 28 2013 Kate:---------- 2.5 oz (71 g) Caroline:------ 2.1 oz (60 g) Jan 1 2014 Kate:---------- 2.3 oz (65 g) Caroline:------ 1.9 oz (54 g) April 28 2014 Kate:---------- 2.4 oz (68 g) Caroline:------ 2.1 oz (60 g) July 29 2014 Kate:---------- 2.7 oz (77 g) Caroline:------ 2.2 oz (62 g) Sept 21 2014 Kate:---------- 2.8 oz (79 g) Caroline:------ 2.0 oz (57 g) Nov 24 2014 Kate----------- 3.5 oz (99 g) !!! Caroline:------ 2.2 oz (62 g)

I've had that happen with some of ours too. It may or may not mean anything. Older females are prone to ovarian cysts and tumours, but those may or may not have an effect on health and there isn't much you can do about either way.
