So I got a gerbil (Joey) a few months ago and got her a partner (raven) last month. Raven was sexed incorrectly and is a male. So to stop them being alone I am breeding once. I know it is not recommended to remove the male although Joey has had pups before. Anyway, I know for sure there will be agoutis but any other ideas on the pups they will produce? I dont know their rec. Genes however I know that Joey mates before was a colourpoint silver nutmeg and their pups were honey cream spotted. The pups parens were black and the other was white and grey. (The "breeder" did not seem to know the actual colours)and his litter mates were agouti, white, black, grey. (Light and dark)
Any ideas on the pups they'll produce?

Unfortunately there's no way to know which genes they both carry recessively so there is no way to know. Since Joey has been bred before and produced only one colour, it's possible she doesn't carry anything else. Carried genes only make a difference if Raven carries the same ones. So no, there's no way to predict any colours other than agouti. Given what you know so far, Joey's pups all being honey cream when bred to CP silver nutmeg, you may not even get black.

Im also confused as to how her pups were spotted when neither her or her mate had the trait. It's dominant so it should surely show?

With only 3 pups you can't draw conclusions. But yes, if the pups were spotted there must be at least a bit of spotting on at least one parent. On honey cream even a tiny bit of spotting will generally appear like a lot more. Perhaps another male got to her somehow?

Is it possible for some more DEH and blacks? I sound stupid asking this but I'm finding genetics so difficult to get my head around lol

DEH will be possible only if the black gerbil is Ee and not EE. Black pups will be possible if the DEH is Aa rather than AA.
DEH is A- ee Black is aa E- Dashes are unknowns.
If you DEH is AA ee and black is aa EE, possible pups are: Aa Ee agouti
If your DEH is Aa ee and black is aa EE, possible pups are: Aa Ee agouti aa Ee black
If your DEH is AA ee and black is aa Ee, possible pups are: Aa Ee agouti Aa ee DEH
If your DEH is Aa ee and your black is aa Ee, possible pups are: Aa Ee agouti aa Ee black Aa ee DEH
I hope that helps!
