Gerbil with scent gland tumour

One of my two last Mongolian gerbils has a scent gland tumour. I felt something strange when I handled him. And when I looked, the tumour was good visible.

I've made some photos, but I'm not able to put them online right now.

I'm not bringing him to a vet, because I don't want to give him the stress of surgery. And it is of course always risky.

At this moment he is fine, like nothing is wrong with him. Hopefully this will be for a long time.

ahhhh im so sorry Peter i hope he carries on being healthy. How old is he?

Not old, I think almost 2 years. But I have to look up the exact date. Don't know by head.

I am sorry to hear of your gerbil's tumor. I hope that he lives a long and otherwise healthy life. I was unaware that you only have 2 mongolian gerbils left.
