Hello! I've just joined the forum so thought I'd introduce my 2 boys.
I already had a hammy and didn't plan on getting any more pets. I was in P@H getting some bits for my ham, and was looking at the animals. There were 2 gerbils up for adoption and we asked a staff member why they were 'special ' as the notice stated. She said one was really vicious so couldn't be sold. We went away and I couldn't stop worrying about them. We kept going back and they were always still there. So I contacted a rescue centre I had previously adopted gerbils from, and formulated a plan where I would adopt them and drive them to the rescue so they could rehab and rehome them. But! At the last minute we decided we could have a shift around and make space for their cage. And boy am I glad we did! They are the sweetest little fellas, neither has ever shown the slightest inclination to bite me lol! So now we are a happy family of gerbils, hammy and kitty!

Do you have any pictures - we'd love to see them...
There are a few of my gerbils are 'rescues' who I don't have to handle all the time so it doesn't matter if they are grumpy. I have some 4ft tanks with shelves and all sorts of platforms etc where they can live their little gerbil lives without ever having to see a human hand... (well I scoop them up in a nice pot and put them into my run when cleaning out every months or so of course).
