A couple of weeks ago, Jasper developed a 4mm in diameter lump on his chin. It kind of looks like a blister, but has not reduced in size. I will be taking him to the vet soon, I just have to find the vet most skilled in small animal care in my area. It doesn't bother him at all, and it is not sensitive to touch. Anyone seen something like this before?

How old is he? Have your tryed any Polysporn or type creams on it?
I haven't seen anything like this on a gerbil. But I know other animals can get 'mole' type growths on them as they get older. Maybe it's just one of them? Vet sounds like the best place to find out 'what' it really is, hopefull nothing to be concerned about.

It's been a few weeks since I took Jasper to the vet, I've been too busy to post. The vet felt that the lump was a fluid-filled cyst. He nicked it with a surgical blade, and expressed the fluid. It was quite viscous and thick. The next day, Jasper's chin ballooned up to large proportions again. A few days later, the swelling went down, and the lump is not really noticeable any more.

Good to hear it's gotten smaller. I'm surprised it didn't hurt or bother him being it was swollen, i would think it like big sore zit, that sure would bother me!
