I got my three new babies on Saturday and they were all pretty healthy, but Sienna kept sneezing or making a sneezy sound. And now Kali is doing it too and I've got a bad headcold (runny nose, bunged ears, etc ) Is it possible Sienna has a cold and it's spreading through them? Kess seems alright and I've had gerbils with colds before, but not so young (they're seven weeks, more or less) Just in case they have, I moved them away from Raven and Pepper's cage and into the lounge where it's the warmest, as my room is pretty cold, even when it's boiling outside.

Chances are its a coincidence that you have a cold at the same time as your new babies. There are very few diseases/parasites that can be transferred from gerbs to humans, the most notable being Tyzzer's disease. My advice would be to take them to a vet and get them some antibiotics to try and clear the infection up. I've been reading on the forums alot the past few days, and the conclusion I've come to is gerbils with respiratory problems can go downhill faster than you could imagine, and antibiotics for gerbils should be pretty cheap. Hope this helps!

The girls seem a little better. I didn't take them to the vets ( Thoroughly ashamed here) but they seem to be recovering fine, though Kess seems to have caught it now. Sienna is no longer sneezing, though Kali is, but they are much more cheeful ;D
