Ariel had her pups between 4am & 5am yesterday morning. I was lucky enough to be awake (insomnia!) to see 3 of them being born. She has 6 in total. Ariel is a spotted lilac & her parents were lilac & spotted yellow fox. Dad is DEH - his parents are unknown. I checked the Moonstone Gene Calculator before putting these 2 together & think based on known genes the guaranteed colours were Agouti & DEH with other possibilities depending on Dad's recessive genes being Black, Nutmeg, Light DEH, Argente & Yellow Fox? I think there should also be a mix of plain & spotted pups. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong with any of this! Pups all seem to have pale stomachs so I'm guessing we have Agouti/DEH although one little guy looks much lighter than the rest. All have dark eyes. I also made sure I had enough potential homes lined up for up to 12 pups in pairs (allows for if anyone changes their minds) & we can keep up to 8 depending on sex which would be 2 girls with mum, 2 boys with dad & 2 boys each with our single seniors Harry & Oliver. Homes are all with family & friends so we get to stay in touch with the babies & 2 homes have said they'll take a trio if we have any odd numbers so I think we were well covered before deciding to go ahead with this pairing. Here are a couple of pics - mum fussing over her babies, the pups at 32 hours old & one of dad before he met mum

Congrats on the new litter.
To me I see maybe five agouti's and maybe one DEH. I haven't breed any honey's so not sure how they come out.
Can't wait to see more pictures as they grow.

To early to really tell colors, but it looks like you might have some CPs or grays judging by the eyes!

Thanks both. Everyone has said they'll be happy with any colours so it doesn't really matter what they are but I still can't wait to find out when the fuzz comes thru! Also can't wait for them to be a few days older so we can start to get to know them & see their little personalities coming out. There's already a real little chunky monkey whereas the paler one is smaller than the rest - hopefully he/she will catch up.

Congrats on the litter, the tank is just happier with young ones in it. I hope dad is soon allowed back in the nest. Aww they look so adorable, I really miss newborns. Luckily my girl is starting to show again so it won't be long til I have some more of these I'm really excited to see the colours of yours, keep updating.

Thank you Dad was allowed back in the nest this afternoon - they were mating on & off up until then so I'm guessing the 2nd litter has now been conceived (or she's just not in heat any more). Look forward to seeing your 2nd litter - the 1st were adorable.
