My 2yrold was running around on the floor of my bedroom yesterday for about 2 hours. This isn't really anything new. Today I noticed when she was standing, her front paw was kind of shaking. And when I hold her.. her back end kind of shakes..like convulsions. I don't think it's a seizure though, I have never seen her do this before and none of her littermates have ever done it. Could she have eaten or got into something while she was running around

Oh yeah..last night she did eat a grape tomato that was getting old and wrinkled because the first time I gave it to her she burried it..
That's the only thing I can think of right now..

It could've been something she got into on your floor, but it could also be something like a disease of the lower spinal cord or muscles of her back end causing weakness. She's getting to be an older gerb, so I wouldn't leave those two diseases of my list. Is she still doing it? is it getting worse?
