Oh my gosh, somebody please help! I looked in the cage and my male' tiny pink little nose it's covered in a smear of semi-dry blood. Do gerbils commonly get nosebleeds? Maybe it's a cut? The only other gerbil in the cae with him is an extremely docile female. HELP!

Probably not a cut, but rather an allergy. He is probably allergic to wood, if that is the bedding you are using. You will need to switch to carefresh, or corncob. Just give him a little neosporin on the nose, and if it does not clear up within a week or so after changing bedding, take him to the vet to get some antibiotics.
