One of our gerbils, Becki, has always been super-active and has loads of energy. She comes out of her cage pretty much every night for at least 1-2 hours to run around all over the living room (we gave up trying to keep her in a playpen a long time ago).
At 2 years 9 months, she hasn't shown any signs of slowing down until recently. For the last week or so, she has started to have short naps after during her playtime. I usually sit on the sofa with a blanket and she's decided that the best, cosiest, warmest place to sleep is under the blanket snuggled on top of my leg! It is adorable, although quite uncomfortable for me as she twitches a lot in her sleep (probably dreaming of sunflower seeds). It's so cute though and I'm happy she obviously feels comfortable around me, as she has never been a very 'cuddly' gerbil - she is way too fast for that!

Ohhhh! That's so sweet. I really love when my gerbils will cuddle with me.
