Bad news from yesterday - I woke up late for school (panicking, as usual) and as I glanced over my babies, noticed one of my boys had a deep cut on his front right leg around the joint and two smaller cuts on his belly. Cue panic as I fight my mum to call the vets right now. We were told to bring them straight down and did so, me half dressed in school uniform and PJs
My baby boy was looked at by the vet, who held his botty in the air as he examined the wounds - made me grimace - then said he would have to put in stitches as it was too deep to heal on its own
I started to cry, but signed the consent form anyway. (so whatever happened to my baby under the gas I would not be able to sue)
We waited for about twenty minutes, then my little lad was brought out and put back with momma
He was exhausted, kept sleeping (side effect from the gas?) but seems to be ok - this morning when I checked on him to see if he had surived the night and that his stitches were intact, he was happily joining in with his brothers and sister in a game of "bite each others ears" (so cute!!!!)
I have no pics of the wound, sorry, but it didint look like a bite wound, more like, as Mermum and Wyss said on GSUK, that momma tried to pick him up and he struggled, which would make sense in my eyes as the babies are becoming so explorational, plus I had two log things in there for Kipp to hide under when he was scared (all the time) and a round log with holes. I figure she tried to get him out of the holey wood thing (they have been removed now)
Oh and the stitches are the kind that should fall out, fingers crossed o.0
