Please help-For the last two days, my gerbil has been lethargic and sleeping alot.He is usually hyper.Yesterday he wouldn't eat but today he has eaten a little.I haven't noticed anything else wrong with him. He is less than a year old. What could it be? And what should I do?

Check his teeth over - might be overgrown.

Check his teeth over - might be overgrown. I did his teeth look normal. My last gerbil was also acting the same way and it was because of a seizure. But he didn't have a seizure.

See the vet to get them trimmed. give him soft food (normal food mashed up, unsweetened porridge, apple sauce, banana etc) Hopefully they will be fine when trimmed, but if they are misaligned and need regular trimming get the vet to show you how,
