My gerbil has a relatively large sore on her tail, it's about the width of her tail, red, scabby and lumpy. Her behaviour is still normal. I researched what it might be and the only thing I've found is ringworm, though I'm not sure if this is what she has. She doesn't live with any other gerbils, so it can't be a result of fighting. EDIT: I discovered another sore on her belly, where there's normally a line? I'm not sure what to call it, sorry. Anyway, it's similar to the other one in colour but it isn't a lump, it looks like her belly has been slit down the middle about 1.5 cm. Here's a picture of the sore on her tail: img.photobucket.com/albums/v365/Triter/2.jpgAny idea as to what it might be?
