Hello, Just adopted these two BEAUTIFUL boys and want to know what color category they fall into! I tried to determine myself but I'm having some difficulty. The link to the photo album is below. Sorry in advance that they aren't better photos! I'll try to post some more when I get back to them today. They are both grayish white, though one is a little bit darker and grayer than the other. They both have darker tails with white tips, black eyes, dark ears, and small white spots on their heads. The darker one has a white spot on his rump too. Any insight would be appreciated, thanks! www.flickr.com/photos/139393717@N07/albums/72157694527126454

I had to put Paddy to sleep on Monday She was only getting worse, wasn't eating, wasn't opening her eyes at all, her fur was falling out, and she was barely moving. She spent the day being petted in my hands and being loved. I loved holding her and petting her, but it was strange to have her not try and wriggle away and explore, so I knew she wasn't going to last much longer. It was so so hard to let her go, but much harder to see her suffering. I wanted her to go as peacefully as possible, before she experienced even more pain. Thank you for asking, it has been hard, but I think Paddy would be happy that the love I have for her has extended to more gerbils.

I haven't named the boys yet, but one will definitely be PJ, Paddy Junior, in honor of her.

Oh I'm so sorry. At least she went knowing you loved her. It was probably one of the best days of her life just being with you so much. That so sweet to name your new one after her

Well she was a super special gerbil! Also, any thoughts as to the colors of the two new boys?

They look like some sort of pied markings to me. Really gorgeous and adorable both of them

Some sort of pied colorpoint? Maybe pied burmese or pied siamese. Not an expert, just someone who likes to stare at pictures of people's gerbils.

The darker one is Pied Siamese. I'd need more pictures of the lighter one.

Best guess would be Spot/Pied Light Colorpoint Agouti. Hard to say for sure when they're that light and spotted on top of it.

Thank you! Yes I can tell Pip is lightly spotted but he's very light colored so it's hard to determine. Thanks for helping!
