Hello! There is a single gerbil for sale near me. I know that ideally gerbils need to be paired with at least one other cage mate. I believe the gerbil is female but I'm not sure what her age is. I've heard that introducing two female gerbils is very difficult especially if they're from different litters. If I adopted her would it be best to try to introduce her to a young female or keep her on her own since I've no idea how long she's been on her own for.

I would find out her age and if she is friendly. I haven't done split cages with females but it would be best with a young female pup. The rescue gerbil would need a two week quarantine, as would the pup before you could put them together even in the split cage. Search online for more info. on female to female gerbil intros. Take care, Tammy
