Just discovered in conversations with betty that under some forum themes (e.g Spring 2011) that links become invisible! 
So with the name (ping) tags here LilyandDaisy Thea those should be a different colour from the rest of this sentence to highlight that they are links, with the default them I have (Spring 2018), I have a white background, black normal text, blue linked text and blue menu bars. I suggest that people choose a theme with a white background if you want to clearly see hyperlinks, anyone who registered after Spring 2018 and hasn't altered their theme should already be on this, I think! The 2013 theme is very similar to the 2018 one, it just has white borders instead of blue, and has no photo at the top (maybe quicker to load for those who have slow internet?).
More themes :-
Autumn 2010 is a horrendous deep orange for the back ground with black normal text, very hard to read! Blue linked text is very hard to tell apart from the normal text.
Spring 2011 is a coffee background which makes links invisible! i.e the same colour as regular text  Yellow makes the forum look like the Zooplus website, lol, orange bars but it at least has white backgrounds for the message boxes. Links are the wrong colour (green), but clearly visible.
Christmas, quite a nice one this, white background, mild greens for the bars, links are the wrong colour (red), but are clearly visible. Stars/trial is very similar to christmas, just brighter greens, bleh!
To change theme, go to profile > edit profile (at the top right, to the right of Gift) > settings.

If you don't like the non-default themes, don't use them! Seriously though, like I said in the linked post, the older themes have gotten messed up due to broken image links, proboards changes, etc. Even when they worked, I used to have to make themes using hex codes and trial-and-error, so don't hate on the old themes, lol. Fortunately for you guys, themes are about a billion times easier these days, so I just added a few basic ones. Try 2021-blue, 2021-green, and 2021-dark, and see what you think. (Though the blue is just 2018-Spring with no logo.) The comments on the 2018 thread may be disabled because of the board it's in, it doesn't look like I manually turned them off. It's an outdated thread regardless. Feel free to post comments here, make a new thread, or even PM me. |

I don't use the themes I don't like  , I was just commenting. The problem is where people use the themes where links aren't visible and don't realise it. Re old themes, lol, ok fair enough, trial and error creation sounds a nightmare! Will check out the new themes later and comment here, thanks  |

I'm using 2021 blue, the new themes are good to use, thanks Shooting Star. I like the Yellow theme, probably my favorite I've used because I think I've tried them all out at some point |

I quite like the dark , although I'm not sure I'd ever get used to working links being brown , I'll switch back to Spring 2018 for now. |

My favourite is the sstar theme - mainly because of the gerbils at the top (I always choose on the gerbil(s) at the top) - I don't think it even mattered whether I could use the forum properly as long as there were cute gerbils to look at... XD But the sstar theme is fine for links etc anyway :)

I don't use the themes I don't like , I was just commenting. I was just messing with you, lol. Should have added a winky face. I can easily add header photos to themes, we just need some to pick from! The current header photos are from past photo contests. We could run contests specifically for theme header photos, especially if someone else is willing to run them. ( betty is that something you'd be interested in?) I'm thinking a new contest for each theme, rather than mining photos from old contests or running one general contest-- so that the photos match the color scheme. If anyone has specific requests regarding themes, feel free to let me know. I just can't promise to get to them in a timely fashion, lol. Markpd I'll see if I can make a tweaked dark theme with the usual link colors, shouldn't be too difficult in theory (fingers crossed). |

Ah, no worries  and thanks. But if it's going to take ages don't worry about it, the 2018 one ain't bad Btw, if you go to the members section you'll see that PipSqueak has been running photo contests recently , maybe she'd like to do any additional one?? |

Ugh, I think the theme is overriding my edits or something? Even with a quick try in the advanced settings, I can't get the link color changes to actually show up. I'll have to come back to that one later. **Edit: I think I figured it out! Markpd try the theme 2021-darklinks. |

I had to go on the proboards support forum and have someone fix it from their end. There was another thread there where someone had the exact same problem-- right down to the date when they stopped receiving notifications. So I'm guessing some minor setting was changed within proboards on that date (Dec 14) that had unintended side effects.
