Oh my god I'm glad you said this. Not all caramel needs to be salted! I'm all for progress, but what was wrong with regular caramel? Yuk.

Salted caramel hot cross buns? Well now I’ve heard it all. Sometimes I think they just go too far - like at Christmas whenever they want to make a fancier dessert, they just add loads of booze and make it too rich for even a second mouthful. Whatever happened to a good raspberry trifle? Having said that, salted caramel ice cream is pretty great.
Yuck to the sweets.
Blueberry muffins?

Yum
I get what you mean gerbilord - the originals are always best! I've even seen rhubarb and custard hot cross buns, surely that's weirder than salted caramel?!

Yum
Not when you don't like something though - and they put it in everything anyway. Like when chilli was a thing a few years back - they stuck it in absolutely everything already on the shelves to make it more 'cajun' or 'fun' rather than make seperate products. All it did was severely limit all the foods I could buy and made me into either an avid ingredient label reader - or a very disppointed diner. Nothing worse than the other half treating me to a pizza and I can't eat it (even when it looked so good). I still have to check standard things...
Chilli! (grrrrr....)

Yum, sort of. I like a bit of chilli in some things, but not when it's so strong you can't taste anything else (that's just showing off). It's kind of weird how the ability to tolerate your mouth being on fire is seen as something to be proud of these days? If it's just a slight kick among other flavours, I like chilli.
