Good to know! Perfect timing too, as it's that time to buy bedding again! And I still have some Kaytee to mix in for a more gradual switch!
I can't thank y'all enough for recommendations- saves me all the worry and hastle of looking stuff up for myself!!
I think I'll go with the orchard hay then, as I'll probably be buying it before the dispenser. Is the dispenser metal and painted? I saw the link but couldn't quite tell from the picture! My gerbils chew EVERYTHING!!!

Yes, the all living things paper bedding is odor free. I’ve used that brand before, but nowadays I’ve been using this carefresh bedding. It’s pretty inexpensive and I like to mix it with wood shavings and hay. That seems to hold tunnels the best. I also have that hay ball as well. I actually bought it for my guinea pigs and rabbit but my gerbils kind of claimed it’s their own. :)Sometimes I stuff it with hay and I like to hide their food inside. From what I can tell by feeling it, I think it’s just blue metal so no paint.

Ai ai ai! Now I'm torn... Idk what bedding to get-but I think I'm going to go with the All Living Things bedding. Just because you can buy up to 85 liters of that. You can only buy up to 60 of the other brand! Great! I'll be getting that hay "ball thing" soon! I couldn't find the other hay you recommended. I found the Kaytee one but not the other! I did find an Oxbow hay however but that seems to be a bit too expensive for me... In unrelated news!: I moved my gerbs to a different room while I painted mine. I finished painting the brick on August 20th. Is it safe to move them back in? I miss them!

I guess it should be if the room doesn't smell of paint?

Hmm, well it doesn’t smell strongly to me. My mum says she can sort of smell it when she walks in. I can barely smell it when I’m trying to..

I buy all my tanks used. In my area theres always fish tanks or terrariums on kijiji or facebook marketplace. Its a great way to get a bigger tank for a good price. I always clean them before I put any animals in, so a bit of labour involved but its worth it.
I used to use kaytee clean and cozy, the brown / natural colour. It's a bit harder than the white stuff, and I think it holds tunnels better as a result. I also layer in lots of Timothy hay since that helps with holding tunnels as well.
It's been out of stock at my pet stores for a while so I'll be trying the all living things brand next.

Oh! Wrong cage under the same name!! The one I was looking at was wooden. No plastic tubes or anything!!
This is the description pawHut 2-Level Hamster Cage & Small Animal Habitat for Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, & Chinchillas with Openable Roof & Window, buuuuuut I'm already guessing it's going to be too small. I also checked Etsy but all I found were second hand tanks with wire toppers....
I'm guessing I'll have to resort to a tank with a topper. Which isn't bad for the gerbils! I was just hoping to find an all attached tank- Mainly because I didn't want to have to worry about how to attach and fit a topper on a tank..
But how am I doing so far?
Kaytee Bedding- Soon to be replaced with All Living Things natural bedding
Just cardboard and a wheel- Soon to be replaced with hay and new chews.
20 gallon- HOPEFULLY soon to be replaced with a bigger tank(maybe maybe maybe two level) and/or topper!

I think I found the right one. I don’t recommend this one either since it’s too small. It’s smaller than a 20 gallon tank with only around 300 square inches. It also wouldn’t hold as much bedding as I would personally like to put in. For the price you might as well get a tank that’s much larger than that and put a tank topper on top that just holds the things that you want not to get covered with bedding.
I recommend adding more enrichment in their tank. I like to include hay, chews, cardboard or toilet rolls. I also like adding in a sand bath, some hanging chews, and I definitely recommend a cork log. Some sprays such as millet, oat, sorghum, and flaxseed are good enrichment too but you have to order them online or through an Etsy shop since pet stores don’t usually sell them. I have found millet and oat sprays at PetSmart for birds however.

I have wooden houses for my gerbils and I like to bury them, this way my gerbils have a fun time digging them up!

Ok, a bigger tank it will be! As the 2 level tanks in my price range are too small- but the perfect tank is WAAAAAAAAAAYYY out of my price range! Another thing, I don't think I'll be able to buy a 55 gal as I have to buy all gerbil supplies myself. I don't think I could afford ALLL the bedding for that.. I do want to buy a little bit bigger tank though. At least 25 gal? (Tall) I'll definitely be getting a topper as well! Also Pipsqueak? Could you provide the link for the Vitacraft Orchard Hay? I couldn't find it on my own... I would like to compare the prices between that and the Kaytee brand! Not related! But the taming process is going well!!(I think?) S'more is just so friendly and curious. But Snickerdoodle is definitely more reserved.

Another thing- do you get your hanging chews at Pet Smart? I've seen some at mine but I'm just so wary to buying stuff there.... I've seen some of them glued together with superglue... Not sure if it was non toxic but maybe!
The other ones are reccomended as treats? They have veggies in them...

Just to add on to what pipsqueak said about bedding- when I used a 55 gallon tank I would change half the bedding every 4-6 weeks.
Then I very fortunately found a 75 gallon tank on kijiji for 40$, so they were upgraded. I now change half their bedding every 8-10 weeks.
