After much looking & ringing different companies we’ve finally found a new tank were happy with for our 2 boys. However can someone just reassure me before I buy that they won’t declan in a 4ft/120cm long tank, they’ll be fine right or should I be concerned?
Thank you!

No, I don't think it will increase the risk of them declanning. Lots of people use tanks of that size nowadays without any apparent increase in declanning rates.
I have a female pair who lived happily in a 120cm long tank until they were moved to a different enclosure. I also had a female and neutered male who lived happily in the same tank until the female died.
When you move them to the new tank, try to keep as much of the old bedding as possible and mix it in with the new. To take maximum precautions, also keep their old toys and accessories and move them over to the new tank, and keep new things to a minimum to begin with. I don't always do this when moving gerbils to new tanks, it depends on the individual gerbils involved. But it will never do any harm to take precautions.
