20 Gallon Long Setup Ideas?

Hi!
I am a new gerbil mom and I recently just adopted 2 gerbils a few days ago. They are currently in a 10 gallon tank, and I have been doing a ton of research and have decided to upgrade them to a 20 gallon long tank. If I had the space and money I would love for them to have an even larger tank, but unfortunately it just wouldn’t work out.😭 I would love to see any setup ideas that you guys have made and what kinds of things you put in your tanks!

In mine I have the food bowl, water bottle, wheel, their little house (though I took that out to wash it and forgot to put it back in), a rock, and whatever cardboard and toys I threw in there. They have maybe three or four inches of paper bedding in there too. Since they're in my bedroom, I take all the cardboard out so they don't make so much noise.

I have recently upgraded my gerbils 29 gallon to a 50 gallon. I'm glad that you are upgrading them from a 10 to a 20 gallon. It's definitely a good improvement. Here are some photos of various setups. I had a tank topper on top and a 29 gallon tank (20 gallon base with extra height.) 











This was my original tank setup. It was a good setup except the amount of bedding. Definitely put more bedding similar to the other photos.
