So, I got a new tank because it was bigger than my current twenty gallons and it looked neat. It was originally for reptiles and is tall with glass doors on the front and a mesh lid. The problem is, I don't think it has as good ventilation, because when I open the doors it is much stinkier than my twenty gallons considering I just washed it last week. Is there a way to increase the ventilation? It's a very nice tank, but I don't want them to be suffocating or something in there.

Out of interest, what are it's dimensions? And I don't know if it'd be a suitable answer to your possible problem, but I attached PC case fans to the lid of my boys cage. They only get used when temps go over ~27C, so rarely used. They are 12cm case fans, low RPM @ 800 RPM IIRC so they're very quiet and only produce a gentle breeze. They're powered by an old 12v laptop charger. A little more info here.

It's 17.5 inches long, 17.5 inches deep, 24 inches high I will have to look into fans like that! Too bad I already got rid of the ones I had left over from taking things apart

Doh! Well they're quite cheap, although if you're looking at running a fan/fans permanently, I would buy some good quality ones if I were you, check out their MTBF hours.
